MEDIA RELEASE: Drama Students Dress Up for Larger than Life

9 May 2014

Local Esperance Senior High School Drama students are busy preparing their performances for the Larger than Life arts event.

Two year 10 classes are combining to perform an original drama piece centered on a human chess match.

Drama teacher Kath Bowering said that she was looking forward to seeing the students deliver their brand new performance.

“I really wanted to involve as many students as possible that don’t normally act outside of their school drama classes,” Ms Bowering said.

“Performing at Larger than Life is an opportunity for them to get involved in the community and perform in a non-threatening environment.”

Year 10 drama student Danielle Ratcliff said that she was excited about performing at the festival.

“I really like drama because you can be anything you want to be,” Danielle said.

The students will be performing Chess Pieces in the Museum Village from 11am and from 2pm on Sunday 18 May.
