  • DARE TO WEAR
    ECA & The Cannery are resurrecting Esperance’s wearable art event: !!DARE TO WEAR 2010!!
    An information session will be held at the Cannery Arts Centre’s meeting room Mon 2nd August 5pm.
    Anyone who wants to participate in this year’s event must attend to collect the application form and guidelines.
  • Captive Wives – Theatre Production
    Captive Wives explores the lives, challenges and triumphs of a group of women living on Esperance farms in the early 1970s.
    The resulting play is a dramatic, humorous and insightful look at this remarkable group of women dealing with the issues of being new-land farmers – isolation, financial pressures, poor seasons… and snakes!
    Captive Wives will be at the Bijou Theatre for a two-week season which runs from August 20-28. Tickets can be obtained from the Esperance Civic Centre or online at thebijoutheatre.org.au.

    Tuesday evenings at 6.30pm -

  • WHAT'S ON AT THE CANNERY ARTS CENTRE:
    • Remembering Esperance Artists Exhibition at the Cannery Arts Centre – 15th July – 12th August:
    • Jan Voigt, Lachie Drummond and Margaret Theobald
    • These ladies all contributed to the Esperance art scene for many years. This retrospective exhibition is a celebration and tribute of their work
    Coming Soon:
    • Adult Airbrush classes with Rob Maley
    • Learn Airbrush and painting techniques to create your own painting to take home
    • $45 members $60 non-members

    Cool Arts Term 3
    7th August – 18th September
    Art workshops for children aged 6-12 yrs.
    Term 3 is all about printmaking. From monoprint, to fabric prints to crazy crayons and mixed media. This term will be fun, messy and rewarding!
    Saturdays 1-3pm
