Yorga Barmah 2019 - 2020

About the Project

The Yorga Barmah craft-based program is an Aboriginal women’s group run by our partner organisation, Escare Incorporated and funded through our Indigenous Languages and Arts Program.  It was very successful in 2019 with the women participating taking strong ownership of the space and planning the weekly activities. Participation has been steadily increasing  and planning is in place for 2020. A new Aboriginal facilitator has been employed for 2020 and the program will increase to 8 sessions per term due to participant demand.
