Esperance Wildflower Festival Community Sculpture Project 2021
About the Project
The sculpture project was led by Esperance artists Mylene van Heijster, Naomi Stanitzki and Jennell Reynolds, beginning with an information session on Saturday 26th June. Free community workshops will ran for 8 weeks from July 6th until August 28th on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at Esperance Community Arts Space (67 Dempster St). Over 30 community members assisted with the creation of the sculptures!
The final results were displayed at the 2021 Esperance Wildflower Festival at the Esperance Civic Centre. They were also displayed at the 2021 Esperance Agricultural Show and the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre for the National Australian Association for Environmental Education conference hosted by AAEE WA. We would like to thank National Convenor Dr Jennifer Pearson for this opportunity.
