It was a joy to work on the The 10 Mile Collection artwork. With lots of input from the group, and under the guidance of Janet, we were able to finalise the Open Studio piece ready for the opening this Tuesday night at the Cannery Arts Centre. You will be able to view the collection over the coming month and purchase items on display.
The planning session las week allowed us to work together and make a list of the learning opportunities we hope to create over the coming six months. I will be looking to the community for anyone willing to offer their support.
This weeks Creative Reuse Challenge is to use up recycled fabric to make decorative wall hangings with Sue Starr. There are so many beautiful pieces of fabric end up in landfill, and while the aim is to use less, and to recycle where we can, it is also good to learn how to repurpose those special pieces of fabric we don’t want to discard. If you are planning to attend please bring along any fabric scraps of the colours you would like to include in your artwork. There will be some pieces here.
Or you can help us or bring along your project to work on.
If you have a skill you would be prepared to share – or there is a creative skill you would like to learn, please call in and have a chat.
All welcome 10am – 12pm Wed and Thurs ???? Find us at shop 6 in the Museum village (opposite the Esperance Visitor Centre). We appreciate the support of ECS Esperance Care Services Inc and Esperance’s Waste Revolution on this ongoing project.
