Last week at Creative Reuse Open Studio, work started on an Open Studio entry to the The 10 Mile Collection Exhibition that will open at the Cannery Arts Centre January 2024. You can contact Michelle Crisp on their FB page if you would like to make an artwork for the exhibition.
The collection and exhibition aims to raise awareness about the huge issue of plastics in our oceans, and in landfill. Janet came up with the idea of a pylon and this week we will explore ways to include some sea creatures. Or you can bring along something of your own to work on.
We will also be enjoying shared treats for our last 2 Open Studio sessions before we close, reopening on Wednesday 17th January 2024.
Well done to everyone at Open Studio who were able to contribute to our gifting basket at this year’s Shire of Esperance Christmas Pageant, there were lots of happy people who received one of our handmade Christmas baubles.
If you have a skill you would be prepared to share – or there is a creative skill you would like to learn, please call in and have a chat.
All welcome 10am – 12pm Wed and Thurs ???? Find us at shop 6 in the Museum village (opposite the Esperance Visitor Centre). We appreciate the support of ECS Esperance Care Services Inc and Esperance’s Waste Revolution on this ongoing project.
