100 Word Writing Competition

About the Competition

Entries have now closed. Entries were on display at Esperance Community Arts. Congratulations to the winners!

The ants you see among the display were created by Jeanie Aitchison and the marvellous Esperance Men In Sheds.

About the Competition:

Esperance Community Arts and the Recherche Writers Group invite you to submit a written competition entry reflecting the 2019 Esperance Wildflower Festival theme: ‘Bugs in the Bush’

Entries can be poetry or prose and must be exactly 100 words in length (excluding the title).

Entries must be submitted by Friday August 30th and will be displayed throughout the month in the Esperance Community Arts Space. Visitors to the Arts Space will be invited to vote for a People’s Choice award for the most original submission.

Information and entry forms can be downloaded here and from the Arts Space from Tuesday to Friday, 10am – 2pm.

First prize is a $60 Fish Face voucher for adults, and a Recherche Writers $30 voucher for the Book Box for youth up to 15 years. Both will be by people’s choice awards.
