Taste of The World 2023

A celebration of Multiculturalism in Esperance

A huge thank you to everyone who helped to make the 2023 Taste of the World event a success this year!

To all the amazing volunteers who gave up their long weekend to cook and share over 55 dishes from 20 different countries!

To all the volunteers who worked hard in the background, managing logistics, greeting people at the door, setting up and packing down.

To our project partners Escare Incorporated for running children’s activities outside while adults queued.

To the Esperance Civic Centre staff who provided huge amount of support over two days.

To all our project sponsors for the financial support that allowed us to make this a free community event – Horizon Power, Southern Ports, Shire of Esperance and Mt Burdett Foundation and ECS Esperance Care Services Inc for providing 200 plates!

A huge thank you also to all the community members who supported this event by coming along and waiting patiently and calmly in the very long queue outside the Civic Centre, some for over an 1hr!! Some even volunteered to help on the spot to help with tasks like emptying bins and doing washing up – so appreciated ????

We estimate between 1200 and 1500 people of all ages came through the door over 2.5hrs. The $1200 of donations we collected will go towards making this event happen again next year!

Thank you Kepa Kurl!
